Halloween Calendar of Events

 

Haunted Hayride and Pumpkin Carving!

Haunted Hayride and Pumpkin Carving October 15st at 5pm. We will be leaving from the Haven to go on a tractor ride to go and buy pumpkins and on returning to the Haven, we will be carving pumpkins and watching Sleepy Hollow w/ Johnny Depp and drinking some hot cider. At 7:30pm we will go ride on the Haunted Hayride at Crumland Farms (this year populated by many a fellow Havenite, and run by Havenite Ken Koll).

 

Halloweens Past!

Starting at Sunset on Saturday October 29th. The theme this year is traditions of Halloweens past, with a Haven twist.

 

6:32pm

Party Starts! Appetizers are open to all for eating, and Drinks will be served to all who are here.

 

7pm

Bobbing For Apples Competition Opens: Apples will be stuffed with tricks and treats for everyone to bob in the cauldron for.

Tim Burton Movie Marathon is Started with Corpse Bride

Bar Opens for the evening

Steve starts House on Haunted Hill

Photo Booth opens up for those who want photos of their costumes

Victorian Dinner Feast starts

-Roast Goose with Sage & Onion Dressing

-Breads with Herbed and Honeyed Butters

-Homemade Farmers Cheeses

-Stuffed Eggs

-Champ w/butter

-Goblin Faced Meat Pies

Costume Contest – Best Overall, Sexiest, Most Creative judged by selected members. Prizes to be awarded.

 

8:30pm

Gene starts Curses!!

 

9pm

Tim Burton’s Nightmare before Christmas is started

Dessert is Served! Cakes and Candies from history.

-Squash w/brown Sugar

-Caramel Popcorn Balls

 

10pm

The fun and traditional game of Pass The Orange will be played with two teams.

 

10:45pm

Gene makes the traditional drink known as Claudel.

Steve will teach the basic steps to 3 medieval dances and we will have a short dance!

 

11pm

Tim Burton’s Caroline is started

 

11:45pm

Gene makes and serves the traditional medieval anti-magic potion of the Spanish

 

 

As always feel free to bring snacks and drinks to share with friends, or to show of your cooking tallents. This is an open event, so feel free to bring friends and family. Lastly we will be allowing people to camp out for the evening, so bring a pillow and blanket to crash with us for the night!
